Barber shop lock-in for hairdresser

A HAIRDRESSER was locked in her Worcester salon after pranksters padlocked the front door.
Su Bown was working at Scissorhands, in Lowesmoor, at 4pm on Tuesday when she heard a rattling at the door.
Thinking nothing of it, the 40-year-old continued cutting her client's hair. Only when she went to let him out did she realise they were locked in.
"I was shouting for help but no-one passing by could hear me," she said.
"Then, about half an hour later, another client came to the door. I explained what was going on and he managed to prize the lock off.
"I just think it is such a weird thing for someone to do.
"I said to the client, I bet you've never had a lock-in at a barbers'."
Ms Bown, who has worked at the barbers' for about nine months, was able to push the door open about half an inch and pass a screwdriver to the client outside, who then broke the heavy padlock.
Salon owner Diane Jbilou has not reported the incident to the police but wants to warn other shopowners.
"It's the last thing you expect - someone to bolt you into a shop," she said.
"They obviously wanted to play a prank but it isn't that funny. It's so strange."
Ms Bowen and her client were the only two in the salon when the door was locked.
The offenders used a chain that was already attached to the door and a heavy, industrial padlock, which Mrs Jbilou described as the kind used to lock sheds.

Sue is a good hairdresser that has sorted my hair on a couple of occassions. I just glad there was no fire at the time asd I would hate to lose a good hairdresser.
