A BAND from Worcester will be holding a charity fund-raiser to raise money for a city hospice that helped the singer's father in the final weeks of his life.
City band The Donn's will be playing at the Gun Tavern in Newtown Road along with Skankbox from Droitwich and bsn420 from Birmingham.
Money raised at the event being on Friday will be donated to St Richard's Hospice who helped band member Stuart Matthews' father Bob, who died a week ago.
Band manager Siani Driver said: "Stuart's father was very ill with terminal lung cancer and he died just a week ago.
"It is very sad but the hospice helped Stu and his family so much during this time we wanted to raise some money for them.
"We were planning to do this gig before he died. Stu said he wanted to do it still for his Dad and the hospice."
The band, who play lively pop-rock, hope they get a good audience at the evening.
Miss Driver added: "The hospice helped Stu and his family so much. The event will be sad in some ways but also nice at the same time as we will try and make sure everyone has a good evening and we raise as much money as we can on the night."
Tickets cost £3 on the door and there will also be a raffle.
The evening starts at 8pm.
