Residents county-wide are being urged to take part in an air quality survey.

Worcestershire Regulatory Services (WRS), in partnership with Worcestershire County Council’s public health team are conducting the survey to collect valuable community insights to enhance air quality monitoring and management efforts.

The initiative follows the recent installation of 26 real-time air quality monitors across the county as part of a three-year DEFRA-funded project to improve Worcestershire's air quality.

WRS aims to identify hotspots and align air quality initiatives with the community's needs and health priorities through the survey.

Head of WRS, Simon Wilkes said: "Understanding what drives the behaviour of the residents and visitors is absolutely vital for us to help inform our efforts to create a healthier living environment for everyone in Worcestershire.

"Please do take the time to complete this survey and share your views."

Bromsgrove District Council’s portfolio holder for planning, licensing and WRS, Cllr Kit Taylor, said: "Air quality is an important subject to us all, but we want to know what’s important to you.

"We are asking and we are listening, so please take this opportunity to ensure your views are heard as part of the policymaking process."

People can share their views by visiting www.worcsregservices.gov.uk/airquality.

The online survey should take no more than 10 minutes, and will close at 11pm on Sunday, May 12.
