A CITY car park has been closed due to flooding.

Pitchcroft car park on Castle Street has closed after heavy rainfall has led to the River Severn to burst its banks again.

Worcester City Council is urging visitors to use St Martin's Gate car park.

A spokesperson for Worcester City Council said: "Due to rising flood levels we have had to close Pitchcroft car park.

"Please use St Martin's Gate."

The predicted peak at Diglis is between 4m to 4.3m this morning (Friday)

Further rainfall is expected over the next 48 hours, and river levels are expected to remain high over the next few days.
