The new owners of the Saracen’s Head want to recreate the look of the pub in the 1960s.
Black Country Ales is doing up the historic boozer in The Tything after getting planning permission last month.
New plans show that as well as building a new side extension, toilets and extended bar area, the owners want ‘Saracen’s Head’ and ‘A Black Country Ales Pub’ written in large letters on the side of the building.
A planning document submitted to the city council includes a photo of the pub in the 1960s with similar signage, when it was owned by Butlers.
