A group of three are set to take on a 1,443 mile drive from Oxford to Barcelona in support of a hospice.

Jay, Reg, and Paul, fundraisers for Sobell House Hospice Charity, are modifying an old Mondeo as part of their 'Top Gear style' challenge taht will take place this July.

Joined by more than 50 other vehicles, the trio will drive across France, Italy, and Spain as part of the TwoBall Rally.

They are raising funds for Sobell House, which provides end-of-life palliative care, in memory of their friends who have used the service.

The hospice's work has been described by the fundraisers as "amazing and greatly appreciated".

They added: "Let's get together and help keep the high level of care for everyone who needs the help while at Sobell House."

As part of their fundraising efforts, the team will be documenting their journey, and showing the changes they make to the car, sharing progress photos along the way.

They are currently looking for business who would like to sponsor them and in return will have their company logo featured on the car.

Jay, Reg and Paul are looking to surpass their 'pound-a-mile' target, and have so far raised £280 of their 1,443 goal.

The trio said donations of any size are "welcome and appreciated", with all money going to Sobell House.
