WORCESTER Raiders held high-flying Corsham Town to a 0-0 draw at Sixways on Saturday after what manager Karl Gormley described as an "outstanding" defensive performance.
Corsham went into the weekend top of the Hellenic League Premier table but Raiders, who now sit third, were able to keep them out and take a point from the contest.
Raiders' stand-in keeper Keiron Blackburn, currently on dual-registration terms from Malvern Town, made a number of good saves to prevent Corsham scoring as the visitors looked to keep pace with the now league leaders Worcester City.

But they could not find a way through and as a result, they relinquished their spot at the top, whilst Gormley's Raiders earned a second draw in a week after the 3-3 with Pershore Town on Wednesday.
"We are not disappointed with that result," said manager Gormley at full-time.
"I thought in the first 20/25 minutes we took the game to them but the back end of the first-half and the second-half they grew into the game.
"They are top of the league for a reason. They are a big, strong, well-drilled team and they know what they are doing, they like to play direct and everything comes down your throat with Corsham.
"We had done our homework, we knew what was coming as we've played them enough times.
"The pressure our back four were under was immense so to come away with a clean sheet, they were absolutely outstanding.
"So with all of that in mind, we are very happy with that point."
Gormley also pointed out goalkeeper Keiron Blackburn for particular praise: "Keiron makes a couple of great saves in the first-half, he has been brilliant since he has come in.
"He doesn't stop talking, he is a big vocal keeper and he made some terrific saves in that first-half, which is what you need against a side like Corsham.
