Droitwich Spa got back to winning ways with a stunning 7-0 away victory over Chelmsley Town.

A Josh Hurdman hat-trick, as well as a Perry Moss brace and scores from Charlie Tilley and Nathan Binner, all of which were scored in the first half, saw the Saltmen bring their two-game slide to a close.

Droitwich were fast out the blocks, opening the scoring at the four minute mark when Connor Collins squared to Moss, who simply had to roll the ball into an empty net.

Hurdman missed a good chance to score a minute later, but redeemed himself in the eighth, latching onto a through ball before lobbing over Chelmsley goalkeeper Liam Moss to double the lead.

The host's Adam Woods had the chance to get his side on the ball, however goalkeeper Olly Sayer tipped his shot round the post.

Droitwich kept their foot on the gas, with Hurdman nailing an easy finish in the 15th minute, which was shortly followed by Charlie Tilley's stunning 20-yard strike two minutes later, which gave the visitors their 100th league goal of the campaign, and his own 15th.

Droitwich's brilliance continued on 33 minutes, when Binner added another stunner to the highlight real, striking a sublime 25-yard strike into the top corner to put the Saltmen up by five.

Some magic from Moss saw him drive home a low shot at the near post three minutes later.

Hurdman rounded off his first senior hat-trick in just over half an hour, retrieving a through ball ahead of keeper Moss to slot into an empty net just short of half-time, setting the score at 7-0.

The second half was relatively uneventful as Droitwich took an easy foothold of the game, making several changes but maintaining control as they defended securely.

Chelmsley's closest brush with a goal came from substitute James Brown, whose fantastic attempted chip over the off-his-line Sayer met the woodwork from 30 yards.

Droitwich will be looking to secure a place in the playoffs in the final week of the season.
